FP&A ANALYST
Turn financial data into clear insights and better decisions as an FP&A Analyst, working with Australian clients in a supportive hybrid team with real room to grow.
Turn financial data into clear, reliable reporting. We're looking for a hands-on FP&A Analyst who can transform financial and operational data into accurate, repeatable, and decision-useful insights. If you enjoy clean reporting, clear variance analysis, and well-controlled models, this role is built for you.
Work Setup: Hybrid 2x a week in the Makati Office
Role Overview
As our FP&A Analyst, you'll support Aviso Specialty by turning financial and operational data into accurate, repeatable, and decision-useful reporting. You'll focus on data extraction, cleansing, manipulation, reporting production, variance analysis, and maintaining well-controlled reporting models while working closely with the Aviso Specialty finance team to improve the timeliness, consistency, and transparency of management information.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and Manage Data: Extract, combine, cleanse, map, validate, and structure financial and operational data from multiple systems and files for reporting and analysis.
· Maintain Reliable Reporting: Prepare recurring weekly and monthly management reports, dashboards, reporting packs, and supporting schedules using agreed definitions, templates, and timelines.
· Analyse Performance: Review actual performance against budget, forecast, and prior year, identifying trends, material movements, and data anomalies for senior finance review.
· Support Variance Commentary: Prepare clear first-draft variance commentary, variance bridges, and analysis schedules supported by accurate underlying data.
· Assist Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the preparation, consolidation, validation, and review of budget and forecast inputs, planning templates, upload files, and scenario analysis.
· Control Reporting Models: Maintain Excel and Power Query-based reporting models with clear controls, reconciliations, version discipline, and documentation.
· Improve Processes: Standardise and automate recurring workflows where practical, reducing manual handling while preserving data integrity and reviewability.
· Support Finance Insights: Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, Power BI reporting, and other finance team requests as required.
Skills & Experience
· 3 to 5 years of experience in FP&A, management reporting, commercial finance, or a similar analytical finance role.
· Strong Excel capability, including data manipulation, pivot tables, lookups, logical formulas, and structured reporting models.
· Practical experience preparing management reports and analysing performance against budget, forecast, or prior year.
· Ability to work with large or imperfect datasets while applying disciplined validation and reconciliation checks.
· Experience with Power Query and exposure to Power BI is desirable.
· Experience with ERP, accounting, insurance broking, or financial services systems is desirable.
· Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, economics, business, or data analytics is desirable.
· CA, CPA, or equivalent studies commenced or completed is desirable.
· High attention to detail, with a consistent focus on accuracy, completeness, deadlines, and clear documentation.
· Clear written communication skills and the ability to explain variances in straightforward commercial language.
