Role Overview
The Premium Processing Assistant is responsible for managing (re)insurance new and renewal business and endorsement processing across all lines, handling broking system billings (including debit/credit notes and premium closings), preparing complete and accurate technical documentation such as Evidence of Covers, Cover Notes, and Addenda, liaising with brokers and broker enablement teams, processing enquiries, and maintaining technical filing and documentation. This role requires working together with the Broker Enablement team members in the Operations Division in ensuring cross-department efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for (Re)insurance New & Renewal Business and Endorsement processing as assigned.
Review and verify placement documents and ensure accuracy against all correspondence.
Ensure the insurers and reinsurers are in the approved security listings.
Ensure completeness of checklists and accounting form (i.e. compute premium payable, warranty/instalments due date etc.)
Ensure accurate data setup at the broking system for the issuance of Debit/Credit Notes and Premium Closings.
Ensure timely and accurate issuance of the (re)insurance related technical documentation, meeting service standards and document turnaround time.
Work closely with Finance department in resolving any technical queries.
Update of production and tracking spreadsheets.
Ensure accuracy of clients’ & market information.
Ensure Contract Certainty requirement.
Support annual audit and E&O review as a team.
To handle technical filing and documentation, including annual files archive.
Ensuring documents are saved in accordance with Company Rules and Procedures.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and internal compliance standards.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, policy details, and correspondence.
Escalation of any potential E&O's to Division Head / Directors at the earliest opportunity.
Skills & Experience
Prior experience in insurance broking or financial services support roles preferred.
Experience using Copilot tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot in Excel, Word, or Teams) to enhance productivity and reporting.
Organizational and multitasking abilities.
Communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with commercial, specialty, treaty, or wholesale insurance.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
Exposure to digital tools or platforms used in broker enablement or sales operations.
