Keep property finances accurate, organised, and client-ready. We're looking for a detail-driven Bookkeeper with experience supporting US property management or multifamily residential portfolios. If you understand property-level accounting, resident ledgers, reconciliations, and client communication, you'll help keep every financial process running smoothly.

Role Overview
The US Property Management / Multifamily Bookkeeper will support the accounting and financial operations of a US-based property management business. The ideal candidate will have direct experience supporting multifamily residential properties, apartment communities, or US property management companies and understand accounting processes across individual properties, units, residents, leases, and rental transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Property Bookkeeping: Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities for multifamily residential properties and apartment portfolios.
Maintain Accurate Ledgers: Keep clean General Ledger records across properties, entities, residents, and units.
Own AP and AR: Manage vendor invoices, coding, payments, rental receipts, resident balances, and outstanding receivables.
Reconcile Transactions: Record and reconcile rent payments, fees, deposits, credits, adjustments, bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet items.
Support Lease Accounting: Assist with move-ins, move-outs, security deposits, and other lease-related transactions.
Resolve Discrepancies: Investigate differences between accounting records, property management systems, bank transactions, and resident ledgers.
Close the Month: Prepare journal entries, accruals, adjustments, supporting schedules, and monthly financial reports.
Keep Records Complete: Ensure assigned properties and entities are accurate, complete, and delivered within required reporting deadlines.
Partner with Clients: Work directly with US-based clients, property management teams, and finance leaders to answer questions and provide updates.
Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Previous experience supporting US property management, residential real estate, or multifamily accounting/bookkeeping.
Hands-on experience with GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.
Experience maintaining property, tenant/resident, or rental ledgers.
Understanding of rental income, resident charges, security deposits, property expenses, and related accounting transactions.
Strong attention to detail, reconciliation skills, and practical problem-solving ability.
Ability to manage multiple properties, entities, or client accounts simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Comfortable communicating directly with US clients and senior finance stakeholders.
Systems Experience
Experience with one or more US property management platforms is strongly preferred:
