Grow your accounting career with purpose. We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented AU Tax and Business Advisory Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced intermediate-level accountant who wants to build a long-term career within a dynamic, supportive firm environment.

Work Setup: Hybrid 3x a week onsite - Alphaland Corporate Tower, Makati City.

Role Overview

In this role, you will support Australian clients across tax compliance, business advisory, and financial reporting. This is not a heavily micromanaged environment—we are looking for someone proactive, self-directed, and committed to delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.

You will have the opportunity to grow long-term with the team, gain exposure to advisory and external CFO support work, and become a trusted contributor to client success.

Key Responsibilities

• Tax & Compliance: Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS returns, year-end financial statements, working papers, Australian income tax returns, and Fringe Benefits Tax returns while ensuring compliance with Australian taxation and accounting standards.

• Spot Risks Early: Identify inconsistencies, compliance issues, and potential risks proactively, helping clients stay accurate, compliant, and informed.

• Support Business Advisory: Assist with advisory engagements, management reporting, external CFO service delivery, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.

• Turn Data into Insight: Analyze financial data, identify improvement opportunities, and provide recommendations that support client decision-making.

• Keep Records Accurate: Maintain clean accounting records and reconciliations, and support bookkeeping review where required.

• Improve the Way We Work: Collaborate with internal team members, meet deadlines, and contribute to process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience supporting Australian clients.

• Strong understanding of Australian taxation, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.

• Experience preparing BAS, IAS, financial statements, company and trust tax returns, and FBT returns.

• Strong business advisory exposure or capability, with confidence supporting client decision-making.

• Proficiency in Xero, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and time management skills.

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with management reporting and external CFO support.

• Exposure to Sift Analytics, Spotlight Reporting, or equivalent reporting tools.

• Experience reviewing bookkeeping work.

• CA or CPA qualification, or ongoing studies.
