Role Overview
As a Finance Management & NetSuite Migration Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance operations of our growing portfolio, with primary responsibility for managing the finance activities of a newly established Canadian HoldCo entity. You'll own core accounting tasks including bookkeeping, financial data entry, reconciliations, workpaper preparation, and month-end close while helping maintain accurate financial records and strong financial controls.
Alongside your finance responsibilities, you'll support the migration of UK business units onto the NetSuite ERP platform, working closely with business units, integration partners, and internal finance teams to ensure accurate financial data and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Management (Primary)
Own Day-to-Day Finance: Manage the bookkeeping and financial records of a newly established Canadian HoldCo entity.
Keep Records Accurate: Perform financial data entry, maintain complete accounting records, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
Prepare Month-End Workpapers: Prepare and maintain supporting workpapers, reconciliations, and schedules for month-end and year-end close.
Reconcile with Confidence: Complete bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations while maintaining strong financial controls.
Manage Payments: Process supplier payments and support banking activities.
Support Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting activities.
Support Compliance: Prepare documentation to support Canadian tax compliance requirements.
Portfolio Finance Support
Support Growth: Assist with finance activities relating to acquisitions and newly established entities.
Build Strong Foundations: Support entity setup, opening balance sheet preparation, and intercompany reconciliations.
Enable Smooth Integrations: Contribute to post-acquisition finance integration activities.
Deliver Financial Insight: Support ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects across the Portfolio Finance team.
Improve Processes: Help strengthen finance processes and maintain strong financial controls across the portfolio.
NetSuite ERP Migration Support (Secondary)
Support ERP Migration: Assist with the migration of UK business units onto the NetSuite ERP platform.
Map Financial Data: Create, maintain, and validate Chart of Accounts mapping between legacy systems and NetSuite.
Validate Information: Review financial data submissions, identify discrepancies, and support data cleansing activities.
Keep Projects on Track: Coordinate data collection and maintain migration trackers to monitor progress and outstanding deliverables.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work with business units and integration partners to obtain required information and meet project timelines.
Test and Reconcile: Support data validation, reconciliation, and testing throughout the migration process.
Skills & Experience
Required
CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent accounting qualification (fully or partially completed).
Strong accounting or bookkeeping experience with hands-on responsibility for financial data entry, reconciliations, workpaper preparation, and month-end close.
Experience working within a multi-entity or group finance environment.
Confident working with ERP systems, with NetSuite experience highly preferred.
Experience supporting ERP migration, finance transformation, or systems implementation projects is advantageous.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reconciliations, financial analysis, and data management.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
Nice to Have
Exposure to Chart of Accounts design, data mapping, or ERP implementation projects.
Knowledge of Canadian corporate tax, HST/GST compliance, or Canadian entity accounting.
Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions or post-acquisition finance integrations.
Exposure to international or multi-jurisdiction finance operations.
