Deliver accurate Australian tax compliance with confidence. We’re looking for an experienced AU Senior Tax Accountant to complete working papers, manage core tax compliance tasks, and support an Australian onshore team. Role Overview

As an AU Senior Tax Accountant, you’ll complete working papers, prepare tax compliance reports, and assist with more complex accounting and tax tasks as directed by the Accounting Manager or Service Delivery Manager. You’ll work across individual, business, company, trust, and compliance requirements while supporting quality outcomes for Australian clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Tax Compliance Work: Prepare and lodge individual income tax returns, BAS, IAS, FBT returns, and business financial statements.

• Support Client Accounting: Complete bookkeeping, payroll processing, invoice payments, and quarterly superannuation payments using Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks when required.

• Prepare Management Reports: Produce monthly management reports including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

• Manage Complex Compliance: Support company, trust, partnership, and individual compliance, including Division 7A loans, tax planning, trust distribution minutes, and inter-entity transactions.

• Review and Guide Others: Review work prepared by junior accountants across tax returns, BAS, IAS, payroll, and related deliverables as needed.

• Support Client Delivery: Complete ad hoc client management tasks and use downtime to strengthen skills and share knowledge with the team.

Skills & Experience

• Graduate of Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is preferred.

• 4–5+ years’ experience in Australian accounting or taxation.

• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation, compliance, and general accounting.

• Experience with individual, partnership, trust, and company compliance.

• SMSF compliance knowledge is preferred but not required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Familiar with accounting tools such as Xero and MYOB.

• Able to learn new systems and tools as needed.
