QA ANALYST

Protect quality across complex application updates. We’re looking for a seasoned QA Analyst to test application upgrades, patches, models, and platform components so they are robust, reliable, and production-ready. If you’re technical, detail-oriented, and confident working with global teams, this role is built for you.

Work Setup: Makati; Hybrid, 2 days onsite per week

Role Overview

As a QA Analyst, you’ll test application updates across component, system, integration, regression, performance, security, UAT, and end-to-end scenarios. You’ll document defects, manage testing deliverables, collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, and help improve testing processes across a fast-moving global environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Application Changes: Validate upgrades, patches, and enhancements to ensure compatibility and production readiness.

• Execute End-to-End Testing: Conduct component, system, integration, regression, performance, security, UAT, automated, and end-to-end testing.

• Manage Defects: Report, document, track, triage, escalate, and support root cause investigations through resolution.

• Improve Testing Standards: Help standardise testing processes, methodologies, deliverables, test plans, strategies, cases, and reports.

• Communicate Progress: Provide clear status updates, identify delivery risks, and escalate issues that may impact timelines.

• Collaborate Across Teams: Work with developers, business analysts, senior managers, and business users while adapting testing approaches to project needs.

Skills & Experience

• 6+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance, ideally with FinTech software testing exposure.

• Strong understanding of SDLC and modern testing methodologies for web applications.

• Experience developing and maintaining automated tests, using automated testing tools and defect-tracking systems such as JIRA.

• Proficiency in Java or Groovy; Selenium and Spock Framework knowledge is an advantage.

• Experience in defect triage, escalation management, and root cause investigations.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science, IT, or Business Management.

• Experience in IT consulting environments and familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work with international clients in a global environment.

• Availability to work within the United States Mountain Standard Time (MST) time zone.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accruals, revenue recognition, journal entries, debits, and credits.

• Hands-on experience testing General Ledger posting logic, accounting periods and period close, revenue contracts and recognition, subledger to GL posting, adjustments, accruals, and reversals.

• Experience validating financial reports such as trial balance, balance sheet, income statement, AR/AP aging reports, and chart of accounts structures.
