AU LEGAL ASSISTANT

We’re looking for a sharp, organised AU Legal Assistant to support a fast-paced legal team in delivering high-quality legal services to Australian clients. If you’re detail-driven, discreet, and confident managing legal documents, client communications, and practice workflows, this role is a strong fit.

Role Overview
As an AU Legal Assistant, you’ll support lawyers and legal teams with document drafting, matter administration, client coordination, court and compliance preparation, billing support, and day-to-day legal operations. You’ll help keep matters organised, deadlines visible, and client service professional from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Legal Documents: Draft, format, and manage legal documents, correspondence, contracts, wills, powers of attorney, and enduring guardian documents.
Support Court and Compliance Work: Assist with court filings, compliance paperwork, legal research, and matter documentation.
Coordinate Clients and Calendars: Manage client inquiries, appointments, lawyer calendars, and follow-ups with professionalism and confidentiality.
Track Matter Administration: Monitor matter progress, billing, timesheets, and key administrative updates.
Provide Team Support: Assist with social media, newsletters, and general administrative tasks as needed.
Skills & Experience
2–3+ years’ experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or Legal Secretary in an Australian law firm or corporate legal team.
Familiarity with Australian court systems, legal terminology, and legal procedures.
Experience with LEAP or similar practice management software.
Excellent written communication, attention to detail, discretion, and confidentiality.
Degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
